ABOUT MORAJ SL

The Muslim Organisation for Rights, Advocacy & Justice (MORAJ SL) is a registered advocacy organisation in Sierra Leone dedicated to the promotion of peace, justice, human rights, and Islamic values.

The Muslim identity is an integral part of the social fabric of our society. Therefore, the fundamental rights and freedoms enshrined in the Constitution of Sierra Leone apply fully and equally to Muslims, just as they do to every citizen, regardless of faith, ethnicity, or background.

MORAJ SL is committed to working hand in hand with state institutions, community leaders, civil society organisations, and relevant authorities across Sierra Leone to promote justice, strengthen the rule of law, protect the rights of all people, and contribute to national development, harmony, and social progress.

In a world where organisations are sometimes unfairly labelled or wrongly associated with extremism or terrorism, MORAJ SL wishes to make it unequivocally clear that we reject all forms of violence, hatred, intolerance, and unlawful activity. Our mission is firmly rooted in peaceful advocacy, constructive engagement, lawful processes, civic responsibility, and the universal principles of justice and human dignity.

We believe that Islam stands for peace, mercy, fairness, accountability, and the protection of human rights. Through education, dialogue, research, advocacy, and community empowerment, MORAJ SL seeks to build bridges of understanding and contribute positively to a just, peaceful, and inclusive Sierra Leone for all.
